In the near future, the world's knowledge will double every twelve hours. Currently, the knowledge doubling rate is approximately every twelve months. Today's students will be living in a world that not only looks different from today but will likely rapidly change throughout their lifetimes. Having access to knowledge, however, does not guarantee success nor wisdom.
Critical thinking, empathy, and adaptability are all central skills that will prepare students for the bright futures that lie ahead of them, and these skills are embedded in both the California ELA standards and our course of study this year.
